In Va. we are not allowed to wear political gear at the polling places.....
So I intend to dress in ALL BLUE..... I have a friend (a relatively non-foaming@muth republican friend) who will wear all red.

1. I'll be wearing an Obama shirt... under my hoodie.
Granted I live in NY, so I don't think there are any restrictions about clothing any way.

2. Haven't heard anything re those types of rules anywhere but Va.
Probably safe in NY.....
But better safe than sorry. They'll be looking for ANY reason to NOT let people vote on tomorrow.

9. It's the law in Texas
And I like it-the polls ought to be electioneering free zones just like the church should be politics free.

13. Nothing political allowed in NH
Thank god too - there'd be fist-fights in the lines if you could.

8. New York has a No Electioneering law within 100 Ft. of the polls.
That means buttons, shirts (with visible endorsements)are prohibited.

(I'm a poll worker and I have to park my bumper-sticker'd car more than 100 ft from the door)

Each sides keep the other inline on these rules.

4.  You may be able to wear your Obama shirt. The laws of your election board are probably online. nt

6. I voted early and they had a sign at the building saying
voters could not wear political campaign material.

I had a turtleneck shirt on with this very pretty Democratic donkey in red gold and blue. I wore it on my collar and no one said a damn thing to me.

By the way, my Obama yard sign was finally stolen. We filed a police complaint and I hope to get another one up today.

10. In Maine you can wear a button or something else nonconspicuous to vote.
If you hang around after finishing voting, however, officials are to ask you to remove the button.
