"Lou Dobbs, Mr. Indpendent"???WTF? |
|
CNN just billed Lou Dobbs as "Mr. Independent". Isn't this the same guy who took home a box of 'Obama Waffles' complete with a picture Obama dressed as Aunt Jemima on the front and said, "My wife will love this!!"?? Yeah BOY! He's an independent all right!!

never heard him say anything positive about Obama. I knew he was stupid when he said Joe the Plumber was inspirational! I had to change the channel!

Dobbs's schtick is that no one and nothing is any good, when it comes to politics.
He has become a cartoon for populist anger. He crossed the line from criticizing to nihilist nonsense.

9. I'm an Independent. People misunderstand what "Independent" means, I think. |
|
It means you don't affiliate yourself with any political party. That's all.
It does NOT mean you don't lean left or right. It does NOT mean you don't primarily vote for one or the other of the parties. It does NOT mean you are moderate.
ALL it means is that you do not consider yourself as belonging to a defined political party.
I am an Independent. I vote primarily Democratic. But I don't subscribe to the platforms of either major party.
That's all "Independent" means. It has nothing to do with where you stand on the issues.

13. Sorry, but my statement was factual, not opinion. I think you are speaking of "moderate", when |
|
you refer to "Independent."
I can say that I am an Independent. That is a factual statement. I either belong to a political party, or I don't. If I don't, I am an "Independent." It is not an opinion.
But if I say I am a "moderate," that is a reference to my political views as being centrist. That is a matter of opinion.
I can be a left leaning Independent, a right leaning Independent, a far left Independent, a far right Independent. Independents don't ALWAYS vote left or right, even if they lean that way. They are, by definition, not loyal to a political party.
I can be a Democratic Party moderate, a Republican Party moderate, or an Independent moderate. Being moderate is a reference to my stands on the issues and has nothing to do with the political party I belong to.
Capiche? I knew you'd understand it, once you gave it some thought. Look it up in the dictionary next time.

14. Thank you, I consider myself a liberal independent and I have a similar |
|
view of the term as you. I mainly vote Democratic but also for liberal 3rd party candidates occasionally.
Also, I'm not "angry" or "fed up" either.

independent. He would be entertaining people on his show like Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, and even Bob Barr to name a few. Ask youself how often do you see independents on his show. Hmmm??? Nada, zip, zilch. Nothing but hate mongering, right wing ideological head cases. Lou Dobbs, independent? Lets get real here.
