Or am I just too focused on black men these days?

Are those Obama's wonderful hands holding the book in the final Opus cartoon by Berkeley Breathed?

I'd love to know if what I thought when I saw the final Opus is true - has anyone read anything about this?

First, I thought the hands holding the book appeared to be a black man's hands
(and we know from the Obama 1/2hour TV spot that he likes to read to his kids):

And then I remembered this:
The Opus $10,000 Paradise Contest was sponsored by Berkeley Breathed and the Humane Society of the United States

And this:

So, knowing a little something about the artist and his politcal leanings, I'd be willing to bet Breathed drew those hands to represent Obama's hands.

Anyone else?

p.s. - Bye Opus, Love you LOTS! (You too BB.)
