Never have I seen so many sad faces on MSNBC.
Seems at the internal morning meeting, word went out that McCain is toast and the time has come to try to save what's left of their reputations by admitting that Obama likely will win. Mika (hmmm...hmmmm), Scarborough, Brokaw, Buchanan all talking like they're at a funeral. Mika tried to get Scarborough to go to a break (He was sitting there silently) and he blurted out..."That's like waving the white flag. We never surrender".

They just played the preacher ad, under the guise of discussing...Is that fair? Free ads for McCain!

They don't want to have to explain tomorrow how they missed the Obama victory and they're backing away from yesterday's memes. All they have left is hoping for low turnout but, ironically, I think the onslaught of 'it's gonna be close' only inspires Obama supporters to vote.

Too bad that their taxes are all going up but it's the thing to do if you truly love America and I'm sure that they all do.

1. Notice this morning that they aren't trying to hide that they're Republicans anymore?
How many times has Murphy said this morning how much he loves McCain and is a McCain fan? They've had Republican after Republican on -- I don't think there's been a Dem on yet this morning -- and they're all pretty much acknowledging that their guy is about to get his ass kicked, instead of even pretending to be "objective."

11. That's the next-4-yrs mantra. That this was a one-off, "perfect storm" Democratic win.

15. Minus Fox, & all the rightwing screamers those freaks
would have never been pushed to the front of the line.. they have always been the "dirty thirty"..never more than 30%..hardly a majority, but their voices were the ONLY voices allowed airtime, and there was little if ANY "push-back" or opposing ideas, so a whole generation grew up thinking that they must be vorrect, because no one refuted their blather..

The 30% who viciously attacked Clinton are the same ones who loved Reagan and who still love GWB.. They are just plain nuts, but they think they are a majority:rofl:...

the sad thing is that their philosophy held sway for so long, it's crept into everyday language and still rules most of the media :grr:

My biggest hope is that once the repubes are gone baby gone, the heritage Foundations & AEI & CATO and all the other little stink-tanks in DC will have their funding dry up..and they will no longer pollute the airwaves..

4. angst
They´re probably not looking forward to reporting the surprises, fraud and theft that the new Administration will uncover upon entering the White House, or having to report that the newly ex-President has left the country.

7. You know, I don't know much about the guy
...other than I used to watch his show when it came on before Olbermann. But at the time I was always surprised that he seemed to be relatively balanced in his approach. He was one of the few right wing pundits that I could actually stomach. I mean, I remember him actually DEFENDING the Democratic POV sometimes, and trying to be fair.

I have never watched his morning show and have no real desire to. And judging by some of the responses here, he has apparently turned into a complete demon. That's a shame.

8. a few days ago Joe "joked" about being suicidal
He said that he only wears ties on days he doesn't feel like killing himself... and he wasn't wearing a tie that day.

I think he's in danger of blowing a gasket, if he has any left intact.

9. Morning Joke kept pimping the Mason Dixon polls
Even though in each and every case, those polls are outliers. It was almost kind of sad when he asked Chuck Todd if McCain has a chance and Chuckie T. gave him a look like, "Hell, ANYTHING'S possible, but really.... no."

I thought Morning Schmo was over, but I guess reality set in. The day before the 2004 election Booshe had a one point lead, Obama has an 8 point lead.

WE FUCKING GOT THIS.

17. In the short term, the media will probably continue as the resistance
arm against the Democratic Administration. If the prove to cause serious harm to the U.S., legal steps will need to be taken to reduce their toxic influence. I am not talking about restricting the right of free speech, I'm suggesting that the media's relationship with big and corrupt business as it relates to their public presentations.
