"Even less PUMAs needed now for a McCain landslide" |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 08:53 AM by lamprey
I went to Capital Hill F for the first time in ages, looking for a few familiar names to see how they were holding up. I haven't been here long, but I miss some DU'ers from the primary season (Proud2BAmurkin being a notable exception).
I guess I shouldn't have been surprised how hatred can poison one's thinking, but for what it's worth, this headline was the breaking news. I remember Robbed Voter from way back, the Clark days. Yes, I know some Democrats are lost every election cycle, but it's still stunning to see people completely losing touch with reality.
Looking forward to the days when cases of electoral misconduct are routinely referred to the prosecutors. Peace.

3. robbedvoter, like the other PUMA's, is, was, and probably always will be an asshole |
|
The PUMA mentality is very simple. It has nothing to do with politics, or policy, or whom you support. It has everything to do with the level of narcissism you carry around with you. These people spent months trying to convince the world that Obama couldn't possibly in a thousand years win a general election. They concocted every myth and falsehood imaginable to support that claim. When Obama does win, their entire worldview (which is mostly made up of an inflated sense of their own political judgment) will come crashing down. They will have been proved rather objectively WRONG. They can't tolerate that. It's already happened once, and a second time would crush them. They are piddling, narcissistic idiots. It will be a pleasure to see them crushed and thrown in the dustheap of history along with their new found friends in the GOP.

7. Their relevance is directly proportional to their commitment to their ideals |
|
Needless to say, they have never had any relevance and never will. They supposedly supported Hillary so much that they can't stand to be voting for anyone but her - yet they ignore everything that Hillary has said and done since the primary's were decided.
My estimation is that they never were Democrats or Hillary supporters. I don't think anyone could have that level of narcissism where it trumps common sense and the common good.

4. I spent a few minutes wondering around that forum |
|
I didn't realize that people could distance themselves that far from reality. Freepers are just born morons, but these people made a choice to be idiots.

12. I read that and thought "Who is drinking Koolaid now?" |
|
I was a Hillary supporter. It took me a while to get over the primaries. I was even a member of that forum for a while. But when some members started praising some insane crap that Michelle Malkin had written I could no longer deny that I was in the wrong place.
PUMAs are NOT Hillary supporters. They're people who have cultivated Obama hatred to the point that hatred is all they have.
It's always seemed to me that you're more effective politically when you find common ground with others, rather than searching for things that divide. PUMAs define themselves by their alienation and are doomed to irrelevance on their sad little websites.

13. It never pays to tie your self worth into any canidate. |
|
it will get you every time. Just thinking about all those people who tied everything they had into George Bush.. they went 180 degrees opposite of their own stated values.
Must be a word for that.. something like "Identity Politics".. at some point it is irrational
