Biden to Spend Election Eve With World Champion Phillies
November 02, 2008
ABC News' Matt Jaffe reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., hopes to win big on Tuesday, so it is only appropriate that on the eve of Election Day, the Democratic vice presidential nominee will appear at his last rally of the campaign season with the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies, as announced today by Biden’s spokesman David Wade.
Biden and the ballplayers will come together at an under-the-lights rally Monday night in the City of Brotherly Love.
The Delaware senator is a Phils fan, but not as much as his wife Jill, who attended Game 5 of the series Wednesday night, when the Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Rays to win their first World Series in 28 years.
