My (usually Rep. voting) Mom is not happy with McCain/Palin!
I am not sure she will go for Obama but she is definitely wavering. She lives in PA and she really thinks Palin was a big mistake and doesn't like the McCain nastiness. She also wants the war ended so I helpfully "planted" the notion that I think Obama is more committed to ending the war. In 2004 she voted Nader rather than vote for the "warmonger" (her words). She also seems to have some white guilt pushing her to Obama so I did nothing to discourage that. Hopefully none of my Republican siblings gets to her last - though the woman definitely has a mind of her own when it comes to voting. She took a lot of flak for the Nader vote in 2004 from my siblings - but not from me and I think she may weigh my counsel a little more highly than the others because of that. It just makes me wonder how many other individuals in her demographic are thinking about going for Obama.
White female, 86 years old, life long Pennsylvania (the "Alabama" part) resident - used to winter and vote in Florida but PA this time.
