Like the color of the Obama banner atop this page. Colors aren't illegal at polling places, so we can show them a sea of blue tomorrow and make it harder for the media to sell any McCain advances.

Just don't wear any logos or campaign gear. You'll get turned away.

Both the Obama campaign and the supervisor of elections here in Florida have repeated again and again that your gear will not get you turned away at the polls.

16. Like I said, it varies state by state. It's fine here in FL.
Point being, voters should know their state and know what they can wear. If they can wear their Obama gear, great. If they can't, I think wearing blue is a wonderful idea.

18. Actually, Pennsylvania just had a court ruling on being able to wear "gear" while voting.
As I understand the ruling, they've left it up to the counties to decide whether people can or can't wear buttons, pins, shirts, etc. into the polling place when they vote (greeters/pollwatchers still must cover up).

19. Court left it up to each county In PA
The Commonwealth Court refused to issue an order requested from the State Republican Party to ban voters from wearing political clothing and buttons when they vote. However, the court did not specifically say that the stuff can be worn. It is up to each county.

Under pressure from the public and State officials, most counties have said they will not use a ban. The only one I read that is still enforcing a policy in PA is Monroe County.

21. From my local NPR station's Website ...
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 11:32 AM by gauguin57
"There are 11 midstate counties that allow voters to wear campaign apparel: Berks, Columbia, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, Union, and York counties."

Yay! I don't have to keep a poncho outside at my greeter's table to "cover up" dems who want to wear buttons in to vote! Especially since the only poncho I own says "Ed Rendell for Governor" on the back! LOL!

29. I don't have a solid blue shirt.
But I have a deep blue shirt with a gold/bronze fleur-de-lis with the words "rebuild New Orleans" on it.

I think that's safe enough. :)
