One-Third of Obama Voters Plan To Be Out Tomorrow (only 6% of McCain voters do)

Monday, November 03, 2008 Email to a FriendAdvertisementLooks like there’ll be a lot fewer Democrats in the office on Election Day.

Just one-out-of-five voters (20%) plans to take the day off from work or school tomorrow as Barack Obama has urged his supporters to do, but 35% of those who plan to vote for the Democrat will be among them. Obama wants them to devote that time to getting out the vote.

Ninety-four percent (94%) of likely voters for John McCain do not plan to take the day off, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of all voters don’t plan to take the day off, and five percent (5%) haven’t decided

And that says it all when it comes to the enthusiasm gap and the dedication gap.

2.  I took the day off tomorrow to help OBama GOTV!
I canvassed saturday and sunday. I do need help from some policy experienced DUers on Gun Control. Yesterday i knocked on a guys house asking for support for Obama. The guy immediately said he wasn't voting for Obama because he wants to take his guns away. I told the guy that was not true, but didn't have any material on me with this information to back it up. The other guy that was there was voting for Obama and asked me if i had an obama sticker which i said to him i had in my car and was going to return to give it to him.

Well, i went back to the house to give the guy the sticker, the other pro-gun guy said to me, "you know what, if you prove to me that Obama is not going to take my guns away, i'll vote for him" which i promised him i will go back to him with the information.

Can some of you provide me with this info? If Obama has voted for some gun control in his state, why did he do it? I am sure he has some good reason for it.

Can you share some info /materials that i can print to bring this back to this guy?
