Palin: "Something about San Francisco'' with Obama

http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/11/sarah_palin_obamas_socialism.html

<snip>

In Ohio, Palin launched a full-throated assault on Obama's tax plans -- "socialism'' -- and a pitch for her energy development.

"We'll drill, baby, drill, and mine, baby, mine,'' she said. "You betcha, we will.''

She drew boos from the audience for her talk of Democratic rival Barack Obama's tax-talk. And she revived that Obama primary talk about "the bitterness'' of blue-collar voters -- noting that he had said that in San Francisco, and recently told a San Francisco newspaper about his reticence on coal mining. "Something about San Francisco'' with this candidate, said Palin, without filling in her suggestion.

"Sen. Obama has an ideological commitment to higher taxes. It's like he just can't help himself,'' she said. "It's ideological with him....

"It is not mean-spirited, it is not negative campaigning, to call someone out for their record.. .and we're going to do so. ... Thank the Lord, more and more light is being shown on his plans,'' Palin said of Obama. "He voted 94 times for higher taxes... Now he is committed to $1 trillion in new spending.

1. Is she a dumbass?
What did Keynes teach us?

You don't cut spending during a full-blown recession/depression.

Hopefully we will see a second stimulus check after Obama assumes the presidency. That is only one of many spending programs we should start.

12. Stimulus checks are bad.
We should use that money to create infrastructure projects and jobs. Put American companies and people to work rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure instead of giving people cash to spend on unnecessary things made in China.

2. She obviously did not know the demographics of Lakewood Ohio
If she was trying to tie him to the San Francisco gay community she was in the wrong town to be doing that. Lakewood has a sizable gay population and the community is very gay friendly.

7. San Francisco, clearly not one of the "pro-America" parts of the country.

11. A badge of honor for San Francisco
to have Palin and her likes disparage it. It is one of the most beautiful, culturally-rich, progressive cities in the world.
