Lewis Hamilton has admitted the scale of his achievement in becoming Formula One's youngest world champion has yet to sink in. The 23-year-old
British driver won the title by just one point after finishing fifth in the season finale in Brazil.
"It's an amazing achievement and it was by far the toughest championship of my life," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"It's difficult to really put it in to words. It keeps popping into my head - how crazy I'm world champion."
With title rival Felipe Massa winning at Interlagos Hamilton needed at least a fifth placed finish to secure the title, but was sixth heading into the final lap
However, he passed the slowing Toyota of Timo Glock accelerating out of the final corner to create F1 history.
