Orrin Hatch is about to lose it on TV.
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 12:26 PM by dem629
Chuck Todd just interviewed Hatch and Hatch's voice was cracking, it was up so high in frustration. "My God! When are people going to wake up!"

Also said that he finds it "despicable" that people keep "running down" the president. "I sit on the Intelligence Committee and if people knew what I know, they would be grateful to this president."

Ha ha ha. The Repubs are freaking out and sounding more irrational than ever. This is great.

5. He sounded panicked, like he was urging people out of a burning building.
Glad I'm not the only one who saw/heard it. The guy needs to take a Xanax and lie down for a while.

16. End of days"
Good. Maybe all the fundies will get their asses raptured and we can get on with the business of re-building a fair and just country.

"fundies" said to separate them from evangelicals, religious Progressives, and other people of faith.

18. "targeted for replacement"
LOL! OMG, you had me going there. It's the mixture of confidence that we can now do this (our power was pretty damn awesome when we Tinglenberged that horrible woman) and the military-esque word "targeted" that cracked me up.

This is us, the Dems, who have had NOTHING for so long. Now, suddenly, it's possible to have a govt accountable to us? Cool beans.

21. Once again, Republicans depending on
secret information that only they know (or allowed to).

"I sit on the Intelligence Committee and if people knew what I know, they would be grateful to this president."

Well, Mr. Hatch, YOUR president and his administration declassified a deep-cover CIA operative that had been keeping us safe. Do you really expect us to believe that if he had ANY evidence that would keep him safe from future Crimes Against Humanity that he wouldn't have released them before now?

22. The GOP mindset in a nutshell...
"Vote for our candidate. We know things you don't and it is in your best interest to vote for our candidate. Of course, we can't tell you why you must vote for our candidate but we can say that it is highly important that you do."

Their pathological distrust of democracy is on full view.

23. No more cover-up
He is frantic because with full democratic control of the government there will be a flood of information on the criminal activities of these rethuglicans that will destroy their party for good. That is why he is frantic. Couple no cover-up with the great recession we are entering and the people are going to want rethugs heads on pointy sticks.

HA!

27. "if people knew what I know," Heh. Well Orrin, first of all, most of us aren't impressed with what
you know, because we don't think you know jackshit. And second, this is the standard meme of every individual/group who finds themselves on the wrong side of history. "If people knew what the blacks were really like, they would listen to what us Afrikaaners (Southerners) have to say."
