What the republicans are afraid of… |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 12:50 PM by Bleachers7
Here is a short list of what the republicans are afraid of with an Obama election:
Another “great” Democratic president. Osama being killed/captured during Obama’s term. The economy improving during a Democratic term AGAIN! 1-2-3+ Supreme court justices replaced by Obama. Scalia and Thomas are over 70! A fully staffed and functional government for the first time in years. (FEC, FCC, DEP, etc) 10,000 babies named Barack in the next year. President Barack Obama High School in many towns. The death of republican politics as we know it.
The first president with their last name ending with a vowel. That they might like Obama themselves.
And there’s much much more. Feel free to post it below. I left out ideological stuff because that’s obvious.

9. Sane Republicans are happy about this final nail |
|
I actually know sane, intelligent Republicans. I know crazy ones too, who aren't even the total wackos who entered into public life in Newt's era, and they are not included in the observation I make here. (We wouldn't/couldn't be in same room.)
They know they made a grave error in voting for Monkey Boy in 2000, and quickly came to despise him as much or worse than I do.
They are voting Obama with great enthusiasm. They admire him as a man and look to him as being a good, possibly great, leader.
But additionally, they want to punish their Party for allowing itself to be hijacked by thieves, NeoCons, and snake-handlers. They demand moderate, reasoned leadership in their Party . They are being loyal by not changing their membership, but if the extremism is allowed to remain, they will defect and join the Democratic Party, they tell me.
So, sane Republicans are banging that final nail into the coffin of the broken ideology too.
Hooray!!
There's going to be a lot of crazy stuff going on tomorrow, but look for the "Reverse Bradley Effect." Some folks are too intimidated by family members, friends, neighbors, to admit they will vote for Obama -- but in the privacy of the voting booth, they are pulling the lever for Senator Obama.
Tomorrow's election is going to be very interesting. Boy oh boy -- are we sure on the crossroads of a MAJOR change in direction!!!
Gangway for a Historic Moment!!

2. There will be round the clock prayer vigils for the health of |
|
Antonin Scalia.
Mark my words, there will be daily prayer threads on FreakerRepublic for that purpose alone.

It's been a long and disastrous eight years of criminality and corruption in government from the top down. Obama pledged to investigate Bushco wrongdoing, and I think he'll most likely follow through. I hope they start with Catherine Harris, Ken Blackwell and Karl Rove and everyone else involved in the stolen elections of 2000 and 2004.

8. That's a good list, and you admitted your mistake! Bravo! |

I wonder about the number of babies that have to carry a funny name, though!
How can they EVER grow up and be President with a funny name like that?
I like the Supremes being replaced, I love an end to war. I'm not so hopeful about the economy coming back quickly though.
