Just in case you needed another reason to vote Obama...
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 02:37 PM by Versailles
This cracks me up. Especially since I'm a former English teacher. This should NEVER happen on a national campaign. These ads should have been quadruple spell checked...and checked another 15 times after the first goof!

There are two other examples of the "intelligence" of the McCain campaign on this website: http://www.thepoliticsreport.com/2008/11/mccain-not-ready-to-spell-on-day-one/

3. Here at DU I often see people start a thread with 6 words in the subject and 1 will be misspelled.
It seems like even here people cannot be bothered to have words spelled correctly even though DU has its own spell checker.

4. True...
But then again, none of us are running for a national office which I believe requires a high degree of intelligence...particularly in light of the last eight years!

5. I have to edit 99.9% of my posts because I tend to type fast and then hit
"post" before proofreading.

6. Took me a second to spot it
I was too busy trying to figure out exactly what the hell was wrong with the sentiment in that quote.

8. That was a head-scratcher for me, too.
So McCain is making fun of Obama because Obama's against selfishness?

Really?

I think this is a clever parody, but McPalin has done so many stupid things that, yes, it could be one of theirs.

7. to me the funny thing about that ad is that I thought it was pro-Obama
It's like the McCain ad that shows Obama praising him (I forget what for--fighting global warming maybe?)... so, McCain would like us to know that Obama is willing to work in a nonpartisan way with Republicans, and that Obama thinks selfishness is bad?

Okay, thanks, John!
