News from Arizona -
Just finished my shift working the phones.

The call center was packed!
There were literally people waiting for us to get off the phones so they could start their shift.

Trying to turn Az blue ;)

5. Did you find out where Dean is holding a rally in Tucson today?

A lot of AZ DUers were asking about it when I got the e-mail from the DNC last night
and posted the news and I haven't got another e-mail yet

I think AZ will be close and oh so sweet if we take it.
thanks for your work.

Via email from the DNC:

Via email from the DNC:

On Monday, November 3rd DNC Chairman Howard Dean will spend the last full day of the 2008 presidential election helping to get out the vote for Democrats in John McCain's home state of Arizona. Dean will headline a Get Out the Vote Rally with local Democrats in Tucson, Arizona on the heels of Arizona being moved from "Leaning McCain" to "Toss Up" by Real Clear Politics.

Democrats are organized, motivated and ready to bring about the positive change our country needs. Recent polls in Arizona indicate that the election will be close and Gov. Dean is committed to Getting Out the Vote in support of Obama-Biden and Democrats up-and-down the ballot.

13. Seiu - Mesa/Gilbert border.
Are you heading out to the location on Roosevelt?
I called from there last week.
It was great - loved the old houses and the ambiance.

Good luck to you my fellow Zonie :)

20. We were calling Dems today, making sure they knew where their polling place was.
And calling people who received a mail in ballot - making sure they drop it off, not mail it in at this point.

The hard part is that you don't get alot of people home.
But - there are always a few people that you talk to that makes it all worthwhile.
Today, I had someone who wasn't sure where to go vote, so I was so happy to be able to help.

I'm not going to hold my breath about turning Az blue - BUT - we did go for Clinton in '96.
And we have Janet Napolitano as Gov, our Reps in congress are 50/50....

so you just don't know.

I'm going to think we're not going to be able to do it, so if we do, it will be that much sweeter.

It was fun calling into Arizona. It just may turn blue and join the blue tidal wave out west.

And thank you, too. :hi:
