My Obama sticker apparently has made me locally famous!
As I was getting in my car today, a new co-worker ran up to me and said "So YOUR the one they are talking about?" I said, huh? She said that in this tiny little redneck, roughneck town, there has been talk of a government employee with Obama stickers on their car. She said she was at the local hippie coffee shop and some people mentioned it - wondered who had the guts to do that in THIS town!! She gave me a big grin and two thumbs up!

1. I'm from a redder then red state- South Carolina.
I always have to smile at posts from our brothers and sisters in California, New York and Massachusettes when they complain about how conservative this nation is turning. They don't know the half of it. When a bumper sticker makes you immediately recognizable and a potetntial target then they can speak my language.

Congrats on courage!!!

2. I agree - I'm from New Jersey (New York originally) and I don't know how...
...you red-staters do it.

A guy in Virginia tried to run me off the road back in 2004 because I have a Kerry bumpersticker. You guys are amazing. I do live in a pretty red county but not enough to elect a republican congressman - all my representatives are Dems

6. Hey, it's not as hard as it may seem
Especially this time around! I've got plenty of signs and stickers displayed proudly in my red area of the country. There's a lot more like me who are doing the same thing.

Plenty of support, both spoken and unspoken. Sure, there's a few incidents along the way - but this is America and I won't be intimidated.

3. Wow... that's kinda insane. Your sticker made you a local celebrity?
I don't know what to say... well so far, it sounds like your town seems to be friendly. I hope you are safe because some of the wingnuts out there are just scary.

4. It's not always easy living in a Blue State.
Especially when some local idiots vote Joe LIEberman to the Senate.
