68. It's been edited since - the original was less compassionate
Though I think it was just a factor of trying to get the news up ASAP and not fully contemplating how it would read.

70. The OP has edited the original subject many times: Originally it was just
**************************OBAMA"S GRANDMOTHER DEAD***********************************

It was extremely NY post like and I thought it was extremely tasteless. I still think all the stars are tasteless

.

Her reward is in Heaven, and being a Christian, I know that Barack understands that and takes comfort in it.

May God Bless Barack and his entire family.

Two dozen different people posted the same subject.

Makes sense to have one highly visible thread.

53. That just brought me to tears. I wish it hadn't happened so close
to the election. I feel so bad she couldn't have been here for tomorrow, but I guess that almost trivializes her parting in a way. You always want one more day, or year, etc...not just one more special event for them to witness, but your whole darned life.

I mean, I bet she knows her kid is gonna make it into the WH. And really what is one more day, when you love your family so much that you'd rather be having many more years with them? It's a tragedy when we lose those we love, no matter how much time we've spent together.

I'll light a candle for his Toot and him tonight.

89. I was so hoping she would be able to hang in there to see
her grandson win the Presidency of the United States of America.

My heart goes out to Barack and his family in their time of sorrow.

Yes, this will be a bittersweet victory for him. So sad... :(

98. Damn.. one more day. :(
I'm so sorry for Barack and his family. They are in my prayers.

I'm quite confident that Barack's grandmother, along with his mom, dad, and grandpa will all be proud of him from where they are in heaven.

May God bless Barack and his family.
