Did Sarah Palin just announce that her son is serving in Iraq?
I caught the tail end of her latest rally. I thought her son had been deployed to Kabul.

So did I not hear that correctly, or is she manipulating her own son's service to boost up McCain? Or is she just that ditzy?

4.  I didn't even think he left yet
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 04:48 PM by JohnnyRingo
That thing they had last month was just a ceremony for the cameras instead of the actual send off.

I thought he was leaving later this month. (I may be wrong, but that's how I remember it)

On edit...
I looked it up, he left sept 24 for Iraq

5. When it's her son, she cares enough to get the facts right. He's going to/is in Iraq
I applaud any kid going to serve his country. It's a tough thing to do no matter what got him to sign up in the first place. Hopefully his mom won't get elected to nothing and his whole unit won't become the political target of the nutjobs over there who can't wait the 6-12 months it'll take to get our people out.
