If John McCain's mother had died today, what do you think WE would be saying? |
|
I happen to think that the people here at the good ole DU would offer our condolences. We wouldn't make vile accusations or sick jokes. And THAT is the difference between Democrats and Republicans. If Mrs. McCain had passed, god forbid, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama would have been the FIRST people to offer their deepest sympathy.
I am proud to be a member here and to be a Democrat. I am embarrassed for the gross things I have read written over at the Free Republic. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And you know who you are.

1. There would be a few idiots here... |

but most would be offering their sympathies.
edited to add: and those "idiots" would most likely be trolls.

5. You know, even some of the people here who go a little too far |
|
would not go 'there'. And if they did, just imagine the outrage the board would heap on them. Some of them might drive me crazy upon occasion, but for the most part, people here are FAIR.

2. ...offer condolences...Sen McCain's mother is quite elderly... |
|
...and I could definitely see her passing in the near future.
It's hard when any loved one dies.

And I am embarrassed by the many things that have been said here. Obama is a jewel. Too bad many of his supporters are not.

7. You might see a few outre comments, but |
|
they would get jumped on pretty quickly by the majority of the board. I have seen it happen over and over again.

If you don't think there would be a certain amount of grave-dancing and other absurdity, I'd suggest checking those rose-colored glasses.
Having said that, there's no way it would approach Freeper levels. Their behavior today is appalling.
