You're going to crack up - my all-over-the-map 83-84 yr. old little old lady neighbor :^)
I love her - she was a friend of my mother's, and me, especially in the last couple of years since I moved in with my mother (I was her caregiver).

But re: politics, she is a hoot. I know when to say stuff, and when not - you're not going to change someone of that age's opinion very often.

* I think she voted for Bush in 2000, probably not in 2004, but she's rabidly for Obama this time. Good, but -

* She hates Ted Kennedy. But she also (now) hates Bush, Cheney, and some other top Repubs.

* She just said tonight "I'm glad Al Gore didn't get in there in 2000', and another friend of hers who was over (another little old lady) said 'me too', and I said 'well I'M sure not'... and they didn't say a word.

* She's against gay marriage... I kind of think she thinks gays are 'bad' period.

So now that I've typed this, I think the real observation on her isn't that she's all over the map, but a somewhat-reformed Republican who still only kind-of 'gets it' ... but that's still better than never 'getting it'. :^)
