I don't get why everyone is so nervous and unable to sleep. We're winning and we will win tomorrow.

1. ...the other side gets to count the votes in Ohio and Florida...
I agree that it looks good, but we can't trust to fate.

10. Well, Florida then.
And it's down to all the time the party has been burned and all the times African Americans have been cheated through our history.

All we can do is bring out our vote and be prepared to resist if theft occurs.

16. Yes, and how determined, fierce and nasty repugs are.
Its genetic, I believe.

Read John Dean and Dr. Lakoff.

7. Sorry, but as a life long Democrat, I reserve the right to worry about a last minute cock up
If you're not a little worried, you just don't know your history.

I'm optimistic, but it's a cautious optimism. Saying caution isn't valid is just tacky.

9. It's not over yet.
I am very optimistic... but it isn't over until all the votes are in and I won't feel better until it is official.

13. Watching the last two elections get stolen --
both events which were later documented and proven -- does permanent damage to the psyche. I'm very optimistic, but I won't believe it until I see the headlines.

14. It is the fear of what could happen, the unknown, they have taken our past 2 elections
from us. We have plenty to be concerned about...let it all end tomorrow. Let the evil empire lose this war once and for all.

15. It's like this ...
We have seen how ReThugs can bugger elections six ways to Sunday in last two General Elections.

I think most of the nervousness is out of concern that it might happen yet again.

I for one do not feel these concerns are without merit.. also it helps us from becoming overly complacent.

17. I wish I could search the Archives for 2004
Specifically election day 2004. Many "we've got it in the bag" posts with many bottles of champagne popped prematurely.

Many here have been through this before. Twice. Never underestimate the power of The Dark Side.
