InsiderAdvantage Poll: U.S. Senate Race In Ga. Headed For Runoff
Monday, November 3, 2008
ATLANTA -- A new InsiderAdvantage poll released Monday shows that the U.S. Senate race in Georgia may be headed for a runoff.
The polls were conducted Sunday night among 637 registered, likely voters and have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percent.
The poll showed Saxby Chambliss with 46%, Jim Martin with 44%, Allen Buckley with 2% and 8% were undecided.
InsiderAdvantage CEO Matt Towery said, “This tells me in all likelihood that if the trend in the Senate race stays as it is, Chambliss barely misses and will be in a general election runoff with Martin. Obama’s failure to be on TV in the Atlanta market is causing him to lose some of the white vote and it is softening the support for Martin."
