Anyone else purged off rolls in Nevada?
Hello DU,

A friend of mine has been battling Clerk's Office in Clark County (Las Vegas) because her daughter (first time, 18 year old voter) was purged from rolls. Clerk's Office has said "voters need to get their registration in in 3 days from the time they signed it." Friend has read the law and it says "10 days". She has gotten a photo copy of registration, it was postmarked 9 days of signature and was received before cut off date. Anyone having this problem? Clerk has said there are several registrations with same problem. What can they do to vote?

1. Tell them to call Obama's voter protection hotline 1-877-US-4-OBAMA (1-877-874-6226)

3. They have called and reported it to 877-OBAMANV
They said there was nothing they could do but took the information. Friend is fighting it at the polls tomorrow but is concerned about the voters who have been purged. Provisional ballot is not going to count. The Clerk also said "Well, she can vote next election."

4. The person should at the very least vote provisionally, if it comes to that they may
take it to court and make it count. If it is super close it may come to provisional ballots.

6. Greg Palast of the BBC says to go and demand a real ballot.
He says 2/3 of the time they will give you one.
