Poll workers: Check in
What are you doing at the polls tomorrow?

I'll be up at 4:00 a.m. getting ready to head to my precinct and serve as alternate judge, keeping my eye on the process and probably voting a lot of provisional voters throughout the day. I have my four Obama signs, which I can't put up at the poll till tomorrow morn because of all the pukes who would take them down tonight.

It will be a long day, but very exciting. I'm lucky in that I don't do all the paperwork the presiding judge has to do, so I will be able to duck out and get to our party headquarters to, er, party and watch McCain concede early.

I hope to see many Obama folks out and urge you to make any last minute phone calls to voters who might need a ride or any other kind of assistance and remember it is still not too late to be reaching out to voters on the West Coast through Obama's website.

Good night, everyone, and away we go!

4. I am an election judge in Silver Spring, MD. I need to be there at 5:45 until 9pm+.
Chief judge says it will be a long hard day with massive numbers of voters expected. Should be interesting.

8. Poll Worker - Fairfield County, CT
I'm working the polls in my local district as a "checker" again. Yes, the one who checks you on the rolls, checks your ID, gives you the ticket to give to the ballot clerk who gives you the ballot. Have to be there ~5-5:15am to whenever we get done. We stay at the polling place until the equipment is closed down at the end of the night and all the ballots are counted and reported to local officials.
This is the first time that many voters will be using the optical scanner. Wish us luck, and hopefully we'll have a poll worker thread at the end of the night as well

Gonna go try to sleep again...

13. Precinct Poll Leader here
I'll be at the polls from 6:30am until the last voter leaves at my precinct. I'm the Democratic poll leader for our precinct. I'll have 3 poll checkers and a poll runner working with me. I went to Target tonight and bought 2 cases of water and a ton of snacks for my team. It's going to be a long day, but it will be worth it!
