Thank you DU

8 years ago I was a lot younger, and full of depression with the election of Shrub; somehow in those days following the brutal election of 2001 I found my way onto the internet desperately looked for a place to call home, with like minded people, and I found DU.

I don't post that often (hence only 800 entries in 7 years) but it's always comforting to know that DU is here full of wonderful people like you; some moderate, some socialist, men, women, gay and straight, black and white....we are all progressives.

No matter what happens tomorrow, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for making DU what it is, and for giving me a place to call home. Tomorrow, I truly hope we can finally start the 21st Century the right way, with the right kind of President.

I found DU when i felt lonely and depressed after election 2000. I have been a long member but lost password and stoppe posting for long time althought always read and enjoyed DU members until recently.

This is like home and this is a place where i learn a i aso learn a lot. DU has made me opened my eyes.

5. Right after the 2000 election - DU has been a home for me and helped

me through a lot of depression. I will be here to help watch Obama's back and lobby for the ideas we want to support. Thank all of you.
