Coos County, where Dixville Notch is located in, is a beautiful part of NH. We vacationed there this past summer. My father in law is from the area. I had a feeling Obama would win as my FIL is a bigtime Repub and he is less then convinced that McLame will do well in NH. Dixville Notch is home to a beautiful hotel and is in the picturesque White Mountains, one of my most favorite places in the United States. Thanks Dixville Notch!

63. Dixville Notch is really The Balsams Grand Hotel- That's all that's there

for miles and miles. It's way up in Northern NH near the Canadian border. It holds the first primary and the first general election in the country. Promptly at midnight the residents (mostly hotel employees) file into the Ballot Room at the Hotel and vote- all 21 of them. No dem has won since 1968.
