I believe this qualifies, as a "Velvet Revolution"
There is great joy in my house.

I'm no political wonk and not among you educated gentry (no disrespect intended... ya'all have helped me along here)...

All the prognostication, and Monday Morning quarterbacking that is bound to happen... will NOT explain this one

Despite a horrific, MSM facilitated smear campaign for the last 20 months... culminating in this Rev.Wright ad going non-stop, even as I type;

Obama may well prevail... and he is right. It is NOT ABOUT HIM... it IS about US.

I have reams of musings and writings... in my hard drive, of me grappling with this conundrum since 2000.

HOW DO WE RESTORE REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT IN AMERICA?

HOW DO WE WREST BACK CONTROL OF OUR NATION FROM TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONS?

I always come to the same conclusion... it has to happen, neighbor to neighbor... friend to friend.... from a coalition of the disaffected from the FULL POLITICAL SPECTRUM, finding common ground and shared purpose... shelving our intractable disagreements and focussing on what we CAN DO TOGETHER.

Obama embodies those conclusions... he and WE, may well have begun a "Velvet Revolution."

I have an old white cargo van I'm thinking of yarding the good parts off of, and scrapping anyway. I may just spray paint it with red and white tomorrow night...

YES YOU DID, AMERICA....

YES YOU DID
