In Fulton County
I just called my sister in Fulton County (she lives in an upper middle class primarily African-American district in Atlanta).

Accounting for the one hour difference between our time zones, she arrived at the polls in line at 5:30 AM. The polls just opened at 6 AM. It's now 7 AM, and she's almost to the front of the line to vote.

1.5 hour wait this early on Election Day. It's going to get progressively worse as the day goes on. These GOP bastards are criminals.

2. There was a line
at 5:30 this morning in the Candler Park area of Atl.
9 of my housemates are getting ready to join them.
I am also seeing a lot of nieghbors up really early today also.

I think it is going to be a long day here.

3. report from Fayette County
I early voted but stopped by the precinct to walk up the line with a cooler full of bottled water and granola bars and see if anyone needed anything before I went to work. Someone near the middle of a very long line said that bunch got there around 5am - so they have already been 2 hours. I'm guessing it will take them a total of 4 or 5 hours by the time they vote.

It took me 4 hours in early voting.

4. Waiting to hear from hubby here in Avondale Estates
He set out to vote an hour ago, across the street at City Hall. Says he call me with a report.

Looks like I'll be the one waiting in line for hours tonight while he is with the kiddo.

Wish us luck! I'll report back with our DeKalb line results when I hear from him.
