First hand report- Southern rural Ohio lines |
|
Polls opened in Ohio at six- I just drove to three locations. Even after more than a month of early voting, all four locations already have fifteen to thirty minute waiting periods. That may not sound like a big deal, but these places normally have NO waiting times.
In southern Ohio, both candidates have heavy support--but Obama is much stronger here than previous Democrats.

at 6AM there were lines around the block in some polling places. We never, never have lines. We're a small suburban town, I'm concerned (yeah "that" word) about the larger urban areas like Newark and Camden.

2. Concern has taken an unfair rap here at times |

I'm concerned too--not worried--just concerned.

everyone stays in line.... heard them say on the radio yesterday that as long as you are in line when the polls close, you can vote, no matter how long that process takes.
I know it will take the patience of Job for some folks to wait in long lines... but I hope that they do!
Thanks for the report!
