Someone needs to start tracking not just what pollsters say on the last day, but what they were saying up to then.

On days Obama was up, Zogby would inform us that the numbers don't mean much. For the last week of the election, any day that even burped in McCain's direction would be described as a "closing trend."

Did anyone doubt when Zogby had McCain up by a point -- just a few days ago -- that his numbers would change to reflect reality?
