"Our Chief Strategy in the General Election Was to Put Enough States in Play ..."
"Our chief strategy in the general election was to put enough states in play to have a lot of different avenues to win the election."--Plouffe

WASHINGTON—Barack Obama's campaign manager is urging voters to be patient with the balloting process, saying participation in the process is vital if people want change in America.

David Plouffe ( PLUFF) went on morning network news shows Tuesday to voice confidence in Obama's chances to win the presidency over John McCain. He told interviewers that the Obama campaign does not have to rely on any one state to get to the 270 electoral votes necessary for victory.

Plouffe told NBC's "Today" show that "our chief strategy in the general election was to put enough states in play to have a lot of different avenues to win the election.

1. The Obama strategy was not only good for the campaign, it was great
for America. It allowed many more states and many more people to actually see and get to know the Candidate.

2. Sounds Like Dean's 50-State Strategy
God bless Dean, Ploufe, and all of the others who have saved our party from continuing its rightward slide, and from the rotten strategy that kept losing elections.

3. That's Gov. Dean's 50 state strategy and it appears to have worked
Many, MANY people thought we were wasting our time and our money fighting for states like NC, GA, IN, and others, but Dean was right. Even if we don't win those states tonight, we forced the pukes to fight hard for states that would otherwise have been reliable for them. We forced them to spend millions where they never expected to have to. We diverted their resources from CO, VA, OH, PA, FL, IA, MO, and other states where they thought they had a lock.

Thank you Gov. Dean!
