Small town, Bergen Co., NJ - parking lots full at polls 6:50 am
Haven't voted yet (will do so before 10 am), on my way to the train station with my wife passed 2 polling stations in our town and parking lots were full at both. I have been involved in local politics for quite a while and while it is not unusual to see a lot of activity early on election day for people voting before going to work, I have never seen the lots full before. Usually the voters trickle in and out but it looks to me like not only will the turnout be very high but that people are anxious to vote, can't wait to get there.

1. BC, my old stomping ground
Grew up in Saddle Brook, lived in Ridgewood and Franklin Lakes until the 90's when it just got too expensive. :hi:

3. Not as expensive as it used to be
I estimate the value of my home has gone down about $150,000 in the past 2 years. I am a lawyer and a good part of my practice used to be real estate closings. Haven't had one in about 3 months. I used to have to keep a spreadsheet just to track all the real estate deals to make sure I didn't miss important dates and deadlines. Now I can keep track of them on the back of a matchbook.

5. WOW my Mom still lives in BC, as does my sister who cares for her
I keep going West, less traffic, but I miss Franklin Lakes/Wyckoff area a lot.

2. Morris County...same thing....
Usually just trickles in and out throughout the day. There were no parking spaces in the lot where I had to vote.

4. I voted in Bergen County NJ this morning
I was like 4th in line I think, and a line was forming behind me of at least 10 or so people when the door opened. I live in a little town, and when we were let inside the poll workers had a look of fear in their eyes at the number of people coming in so early, I guess that's a lot of people for that time in this town (my first time voting in this town). It was kind of funny but their expressions were a little "holy shit wtf"
