Voting Report from Kansas City, Missouri
The polls open at 6 a.m. in Kansas City.

Headed over to the polls at 5, thinking I was being obsessive.

There were already 15 people in line; the first two had gotten in line at 3:59 and 4:15.

By the time the polls opened at 6, there were 100-150 people in line.

By the time I was done at 6:15, there were about 200 people in line.

Home to take a shower, then heading out to get out the vote for the rest of the day.

Hoping to help turn Missouri blue!

Wishing you all a great Election Day.

4. Voters delayed as KC polling place has wrong list of registered voters
The polls are open, lines are forming and would-be voters at one Kansas City location had problems casting their ballots.

At the All Souls Church at 45th and Walnut streets, the wrong list of registered voters was brought to the site. People who have voted at that location for years were not on the books provided to poll workers.

That led to a frantic scramble to fix the problem. So far, only a few people have voted at the All Souls location. Election officials on site declined comment.

At 5:30 a.m., more than 50 people were lined up to vote. The delay caused some people to leave, saying that they would come back later to vote.
