1. I voted today in Melbourne Beach
Cool thing on the way there. I stopped at a 7-Eleven to get a cup of coffee. Of the three of us there at the time, it was 3 for 3 with Obama cups! A mini landslide!

20. last Monday I waited 2 hours
In Brevard county.
There were lots of younger folks.
We struck up a conversation with the middle aged white guy behind us, about alternative energy, the economy and the need for a new direction.
I get the feeling he and his daughter voted for Obama.
This weekend I met one of my son's friends, a twenty year old Jewish girl who told me she was going to vote for McLame until he picked his whacked out running mate. She had just returned from voting FOR OBAMA!!!

16. We are going today
Two of my daughters have their first presidential election today, though our 18 year old registered to vote at the local Obama-Biden office and somehow, it got completely messed up. There is some doubt on whether she is even registered to vote. Apparently, she was caught by the "No vote, no match" law: http://www.brennancenter.org/content/resource/florida_to_enforce_restrictive_no_match_no_vote/

They SAY she didn't put her drivers license number on the voter registration application, though she contends that she did. Unfortunately, her original application seems to have been "misplaced". We have a lawyer from the Obama campaign working on it and have registered a complaint with our congressman (Robert Wexler), but it appears she's still going to be forced to vote by provisional ballot for her very first election ever.

did :(

22. No, it isn't right
But it seems to be what they did to a lot of the registrations that came from the Obama-Biden campaign office. The lawyer said that hers was not the only case.

I love Wexler, too. Living here has been one of the few times in my life when I got to vote for someone I felt pretty much reflected my interests, instead of "the person I hate the least".

She's going to vote provisional. The lawyer said that it's the only way they can challenge it.

19. Early here, too
I took my daughter (first timer) on the 27th. No line in Charlotte county.

WTF is up with this article from the Tampa Trib? It appears they were "just" voter survey forms (including who people planned to vote for and whether they needed a ride) and "public record," but nine garbage bags jettisoned along the interstate? Just another FL election, huh? :eyes:
