Says a lot about a man that his daughters are so devoted to him. The way he includes them in...
everything when he is around them, instead of them standing in the background like other politicians children, he talks to them, includes them in what is going on, its just a beautiful thing. I can't wait for this guy to be president especially given the fact that I have two daughters.

1. It is beautiful and genuine. One of the remarkable things about Obama
is his family. They are absolutely beautiful, and the true love and affection is apparent at a single glance. This will be a First Family that I can actually relate to.

2. They are the most loving, devoted family I think I've ever seen, and the joy they take in each other
is a truly beautiful thing. Brings me to tears almost every time.

This man's priorities are steadfast! Imagine, leaving the campaign trail to go home
and take his daughter Trick-or-Treating. Because, to a little kid, going Trick-or-Treating
is more important than winning another electoral vote, and he understands that.

I love this family as if it were my own. And - at the risk of sounding sappy - I have to
admit that I think his grandma left this earth one day before the election, I think she
left willingly, so Barack's mother wouldn't be alone to witness her son's amazing
and historic achievement!

3. Yes. Completely the opposite of how Sarah Palin took to the stage at the RNC convention with her
little daughter, Piper, behind her and completely disconnected.
Not a hand on her shoulder, not a hand stretched out in back of her for her
daughter to grab - just completely on her own, out there in front of the world.
I remember being struck by that immediately, and the image has never left my mind.

Palin's unprotectiveness of her little girl is the antithesis of how Michelle and Barack were,
the night of the DNC, with their 2 girls, always making sure that someone was holding their hand
or had an arm around them. At one point, Jill Biden looked back and saw one of the girls and
stretched her arm out to them, too.

I am so proud to be a Democrat, and so appreciative of the people we've chosen to represent us.
