What I want from an Obama Presidency:
I want the Fairness Doctrine, or some semblance of it, reinstated. I want to turn on my television and see reality on NEWS shows, and save the fantasy for the entertainment shows. I am so sick of the dueling realities; everything around me saying one thing, tv news telling a diametrically opposite story.

Sure, fix the economy and end the war. But fix the damn media, too, or else anything Obama does on the former will be trumped by the latter.

2. Media
It was interesting to see the media not outright try to crush Obama. They may actually treat him fairly, but I doubt it.

I am afraid bringing change to the media is gonna take all of us. My plan is to shout them dwon - be a bigger voice than the billion dollar industry. I have no idea how to go about doing so, I was hoping you might?

3. This is my focus as well. And transparency in government....
The blogosphere can, I believe, be instrumental in demanding and manifesting this change via the Obama Administration.

4. I don't remember which thread it was yesterday,
but it was similar. I said, I'd LOVE for Obama to openly challenge this media, when they are asking him questions! Could you imagine him saying, at the end of a presser; "None of you asked ________________, why is that? That is the core of this situation. That is what the American people need reported to them, so that they will have accurate information, to form their own educated opinion. That is YOUR job! In THIS administration, we want MORE involvement of our citizens, and we want them armed with FACTS! Please don't mistake us for the Bush Administration, or you'll be finding yourselves in the back row, reserved for the same old media. I meant it when I said things were going to change. Now, anyone with any hard-hitting questions? I'll be happy to answer you."

LOL!!!

They need a really hard kick in their asses!
