The Youth Surge is Underway in Madison, WI!

I got to the polls at 7AM and was surprised in my college precinct to see a line of hundreds ahead of me. The place was packed. I voted by 8:10 and was number 295. It was amazing to see so many college students voting so early in the morning. I expected it to be pretty empty, but instead the line was out the door, up the street, and around the corner.

It was amazing to vote. I voted for the first time in a Presidential Election. I chose to vote for each race, instead of voting straight ticket, because I wanted to vote for Obama. And when I left, there was still a line out the door and up the street

I'm so proud that for many young, first time voters this election will be so historic and I envy them. I saw an older gentleman who looked like he was in the construction business get in his truck with two young men telling them how proud he was of them for voting for their first time as they were getting into the truck.

Looks like the naysayers who said the early voting hinted the youth vote wouldn't come out was wrong.I love It when the so called experts are wrong.
