1. Very amusing and cute incident occurred while I was inside the |
|
polling place waiting to vote.
A Los Angeles Unified School District bus pulled up to the intersection at Venice Blvd. and Beethoven St. The school bus was full of children. Many of the windows on the bus were open and the students were yelling "Obama" out the windows at all those waiting in line and holding up handwritten signs on notebook paper saying "OBAMA". The reaction of those waiting in line was almost universally positive. One old bastard in front of me muttered "That's illegal". But everyone else in the line was smiling and ooh-ing and ah-ing the kids' excitement.
Very cute. One thing that has blown me away is how young children have really caught on fire for Obama. I have seen examples of it almost every weekend at the Mar Vista Farmer's Market and our weekly Friday peace vigil.
