Okay, Obama and the coal comment (help)
Now my understanding is that Obama said those things about coal production but it's because he wants clean coal technology right? And McCain feels the same way?

My cousin just sent an email (actually called and I had a feeling that it was election related so I didn't answer).. asking if I heard about Obama's coal comments and how that would put my husband out of a job because he works in a steel mill that uses coal.

9. Please ask her to forward that link
to any who forwarded her the McCain distortions. As a matter of fact politely demand that she forward that link and ask those who misinformed her to forward that link to the person who sent it to them. If it got to her, it also got to alot of others.

Full interview audio:

Numerous caveats and plenty of nuance that was omitted and distorted by McShame/Phalin. Go figure.

11. There are several good resources debunking the BS on his statements.
If you can google SFgate, they clear up the fact that there was no hidden audio, and he never said those things. AND the head of the Coal Miners union came out in support of Obama after this childish attack by the RWers perpetrated by Brent Bozzell, the nastiest RWer out there, and his fake news site Newsbusters.

14. they have the same policy - cap and trade
it would force coal plants that refuse to upgrade and clean up their technology to pay extra.

This is the system used in Europe and supported by both Presidential candidates.
