he realizes Obama will win and he's okay with it.

"He" is my husband's co-worker who has had a McCain sign up at his desk. But he's not an unreasonable sort of guy--just uninformed. Yesterday he told my husband that he believes Obama will win, and that he'll be interested to see what kind of tuition program Obama comes up with, because his two kids are about to start college.

The reasonable Repubs are going to be fine with a President Obama, and are going to be looking for the silver lining. Most vote Repub to keep their taxes down (one kind of self-interest), so once he's in they'll be looking at what benefits they will get like tax cuts or social programs--(self interest again).

My husband is going to try to find out if he actually voted for McCain today because yesterday he seemed to be turning.
