Field Report From Pennsylvania.
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 10:51 AM by jefferson_dem
What are folks seeing out there in PA? After all, this is the KEYstone state.

Here's an entry at Sully's blog.

The View From Your Election: Pennsylvania

Philly

A reader writes:

Half an hour before the polls open, and we're over a hundred back in line. By 7AM, when the doors open, there are at least another 350 behind us. The line stretches a full city block. By the same time in 2004, turnout was less than a quarter of this. In 2004, Kerry beat Bush by 410,000 votes in Philly, which made the difference for Kerry statewide. It is not unthinkable that Obama will best McCain by 750,000 in in Philadelphia today, and it's hard to imagine McCain making up that difference in the rest of Pennsylvania.

4. I'm in suburban Pittsburgh... a heavy red precinct... and the wait was 10 minutes

Voting is light here. VERY good sign.

I was voter number 57.... at 8:05am. That's less than a voter per minute.
