My voting experience in NH
Quick and painless---busy at 9AM but no lines. We have optical scan machines, and the ballot was very straightforward. Took my 5-year-old son with me to have his first experience with what voting and Democracy is all about.

I saw one very promising datapoint. I was explaining the optical scan machine to my future-engineer-and-geek, who was fascinated, and happened to peek at a ballot going in. State reps were Republican straight down the line, but the top of the ballot had Obama's circle filled in.

Yes folks, there is hope.

1. I also voted in NH.
In my shirtsleeves! In the sunshine! On November 4! The registration lines were l-o-o-o-o-ng, but the registered voters sailed right through. There were at least double the number of polling boths, and they were all full. I feel fantastic!

2. We should do fine here. Democratic sweep if the polls are remotely accurate.
Sunnunu should go down, our two Democratic reps should do fine, Lynch has no opposition that anyone is aware of, and we may even increase our hold on the legislature. I'm quite optimistic.

3. Best turnout I've ever seen in my ward
Ward 7 in Nashua. I voted at around 10:30, after the first rush and before lunch hour. There was a steady flow of people but no line. The person working the optical scanner said it was the first semblance of a break they'd had.
Best of all, lots of Democratic sign holders out front, only a couple of lonely GOPers.

4. Hope New Hampshire goes for Obama.
I saw lots of McCain signs in the Littleton,Whitefield,Lancaster area a couple of days ago. Made me cringe.
