Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 12:54 PM by jmowreader
For me:

Obama in the White House

Kay Hagan defeats Liddy Dole

Larry Kissell defeats Robin Hayes

Dan Saban defeats Joe Arpaio

On edit: California Proposition 8 defeated by AT LEAST a 25 percent margin!

6. We get 60+ senators, at least 30+ new Reps
Obama wins with a 420-ish landslide, the Republican party has to concede, and Prop 8 fails miserably in California.

50. I agree: Proposition 4 is bad news
I worked with a lieutenant who was liberal on most things but liked parental notification. "Why does a minor need parental consent to go to the dentist, but not to get an abortion?"

I asked her what would have happened if she'd told her mom she needed to go to the dentist. "She would have taken me to the dentist."

And then asked what would have happened if she'd told her mom she was pregnant. "She would have killed me...yeah, parental notification's not a good idea, is it?"

26. my day was already "made". I voted for a great man for president who happens to be black
and I can't stop crying. And no, I'm not AA but I'm old enough to remember watching the fire hoses turned on black ppl in the south in the 50s and 60s and being horrified. I was just a child and I couldn't wrap my head around it. Those fat white bubbas turning dogs and fire hoses against terrified ppl who would not turn back.

He's gonna win. Wish my dad were here to see it.

Ronnie Musgrove wins (looong shot), Bruce Lunsford wins (also very long shot). Minnesota Tinklenbergs all over Michelle Bachmann.

Certain Fascist media personalities execute their mutual suicide pacts, following their Fuhrer's example. They could do it in the privacy of their bunker. I don't need to see them do it on live TV to be satisfied.

Oh yes, Prop. 8 in California fails to pass.
