*No 2012 for Palin, she's finished today*
Sure the foaming 28% will try to float that stale air-biscuit, but the GOP leadership (whatever is left of them after today), will flush Sarah (and Joe) for good. McCain's faux populist ploy: "We're all ignorant, trailer trash, losers", is an epic fail and only the lamest strategist would trot that out again. No, me thinks this is the end of Palin's 15 minutes.

1. Hard to say.
We've over estimated them before.

8. Too many people have laughed at her. Scandals lose their potency.
The memories of blunders fade.

We're still snickering at Dan Quayle and "potatoe".

16. In my family, we still make potatoe salad as a result of that blunder.
My kids will probably make potatoe salad and have no idea why.

10. Her biggest problem is a lack of a national stage
She's heading back to Alaska where the media doesn't go. She basically would have to leave politics to remain in the spot light. I think Romeny et al showed how easy that is to do

2. It depends on who wins the looming power struggle
The far right wants to purge the party of moderates and pretty much make the GOP an extremist party. If they win out, Palin could very well be the nominee in 12, which is great news for us.

13. I could see the Republican Party splitting in TWO!!!!!!!!!! and.....
I love that idea for 2012... they will fight with themselves and we can all watch it on national TV as Obama wins his second term.

6. I agree MO-Dem
Mittens wants it bad, Rudy wants it but doesn't want to work for it, and Jeb wants it, but will have to overcome the trash left by his brother. I think the three of them will make sure Palin doesn't make it to the national stage again. She might try for the Senate to stay in the limelight, now that she's enjoyed it for a few weeks.

5. Depends upon how big the margin of their defeat is today.
They're going to hold onto those voters, and make use of them, if they can get enough cover from moderates.

7. She's done for POTUS...VP maybe
I think after today, R's that carry weight are going to come out and say what they really think of Palin. I don;t think it will be pretty. Nicole Wallace is about to get replaced as speed bump du jour.

9. Better choice
I would think that if General Patraeus wants to run as a Repulican, no one else could match the guy. Can you imagine a debate between the two?

Republicans are keeping their mouths shut out of their hope for a slim chance of victory, but after tonight, Palin is going to be cannibalized.
