on my lunch break from driving voters to the polls

what a turnout this is
one of the biggest ive seen in my life
came home to stir my mustard greens and my pinto beans
i have some squash and eggplant to saute and i slow cooked a pork butt for pulled pork all last night
also have a skillets worth of cornbread to bake when im done
i gotta go get back on the road
im driving a lot of q-tips (floridian for the white haired)today
most are for obama but there are mccain voters on board too
i cant begrudge them that today
will check in when they send me home
get out and vote and take a friend with you

I grew up in the South and miss Southern food. My favorite - pinto beans with ham bits, and chopped onions sprinkled on top with corn bread on the side.
