I work on Michigan Avenue and it is a MAD HOUSE!
The party has already started! Street Vendors are at work, people are laughing, smiling, high-fiving! The Crowd is starting to make their way to the Park. Press was swarming.

5. Yeah I"m looking forward to my bike commute home.
I have to cut through there to get to the Lakefront path (no I'm not going to hang out down there, I'm going to hang out with my son instead)

Will be nice to see.

in the afternoon in Grant Park 40 years ago. The 10pm came and all hell broke lose. Wish I could be there to celebrate something positive!

11. Awesome. I wish we could be there -- we were there for a conference my husband attended
but had to be back in Indiana today. Everyone there told us that the whole city was going to shut down and that millions were expected to show up. How exciting to be part of history!

15. I wish I could see Michigan Ave
I have never seen it, but I would love to see it right now. Be there in person. That would be cool right about now. I bet Obama is not too far from there. Or is he campaigning, oh well, still would be exciting.

17. The Red & Blue Lines Are Your Friend...
I'm planning to pop down later tonight...park and ride the CTA. I just talked to a friend in the same building the Obama campaign is headquartered and he says the place is crawling with media...which is hilarious considering each network has an affiliate in town and the local Fox affiliate's studios are in the same building.

The weather is great...and I just can't miss out on the irony that the this party is gonna be held on the same ground of the 1968 DNC riots. Seems to be a fitting end of a long 40 years.

Happy, happy, happy and proud. I would love to be there. Enjoy! Photos tomorrow, please!

28. Oh wow!!!
I can't wait until that "take the breath out of you" moment, if they show it, of the President-Elect's motorcade arriving surrounded by all those Secret Service agents walking along side. It will take my breath away. THE ARRIVAL OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I allways get emotional at that kind of pomp and stuff. So American. So patriotic. I may get choke up at that moment. :)
