I was there a few years ago for the Chicago Blues Fest and the crowd was estimated at around 750,000. Bonnie Raitt was the main attraction on the Petrillo bandshell and I saw her, sort of. I suspect that it may that way for the Obama rally tonight. The main difference is that Blues Fest is an all day event, with people coming and going, and this will be an event which won't last as long, although will be more memorable.

4. I could have run down there

but it sounds like it will be a real zoo--no place to park and nowhere to stand or sit. I'm taking the lazy way out and watching it on tv with the rest of us.
