An email from our pastor I just received... |

Good afternoon church,
Just a few things on my mind this warm Tuesday afternoon…
When you get the results from the election tonight, don’t forget that whether your guy won or lost, God’s still in control. Human leadership at its best or worst has limits, and regardless of who wins or loses tonight, the same God will be on the throne tomorrow morning. Hey, that means we can already start celebrating this afternoon! Tomorrow night – Powerlines (Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the worship center) starts back up, and the topic we’ll be studying is Angels! Are they real? Who are they? Just what is it that they do? What do they look like? Do they have anything to do with me? All this and more tomorrow night! I can’t wait for the new weekend series, Games People Play. It’s all about avoiding the traps that cause people to spend years of their lives only to have nothing meaningful to show for it at the end. If you’re craving more meaning and purpose in your life, I think you’re going to be all over this one! The first installment, Monopoly, gets underway Saturday evening at 6. Hey, that gives me another opportunity to remind everyone that we have room in the Saturday service. Last weekend, it was getting kind of tight in both Sunday services, so if you’d like to avoid some traffic, and have an easier time finding a seat, you might want to try Saturday night out. (On Saturday, Kidzworld is available from third grade down.)

1. I'm hoping the angels discussed the most tomorrow night will be those |
|
Who helped us put the Rethugs out to pasture. A gentle, God-lit pasture where they will learn what they need to know about war not being something that Jesus WD. And maybe a few pointers about life in the twenty first century, where you realize life style is not a choice but a biological set up, with no one's being better or more moral than another's.

7. I posted yesterday about my Church taking a stand against |
|
someone putting McCain flyers all over people's cars at one of the services. They said it was not their position to get involved in politics.. only to help us learn about Christ.
We have to have 3 services (one sat. 2 sun). sounds like our Churches are similar.
