(edit Go Blue! in title line...bad form, lol)

you know, i have "meant to" do much more than I have this year... to many issues, too many reasons i haven't yet. but at least i started today. i just went online and started calling people in OHIO.

Many of them were not home, so i left a message and gave them their info for polling, and said i hoped I was getting their answering machine because they were out there doing it!
i felt like a geek cuz I stumbled a little too, probably said st5upid stuff but I was trying to be positive and was also nervous and excited.

i did get some folks who already voted. i could tell they were "over it" because they were a little short and just wanted to shrug me off.

the older aged voters were the ones I was most afraid of, i didn't want them to be hard of hearing (cuz I am at work and can't quite yell that i am making calls for Obama!) and I was also afraid they would be angry Mclame supporters...

the best call of all was a 75 year old German woman, who was so excited and said she only waited an hour to vote and said "good for us all!.., let's hope we get to celebrate tonight!"

that makes it all worthwhile. i want more... i am going to keep this up. i see that getting involved is a little bit addictive...

watchout! I am practicing my right to be involved in OUR Government! bwhahahahaa!

1. any voting problems in Ohio??
cause there are many threads about problems in PA and VA, any of those battleground states that McCain wants to steal.

2. *ahem* You never want to yell "GO BLUE!!!" to an Ohioan.
Probably best not to mention colors at all when dealing with Ohio or Michigan and politics. Ohio will never "go blue" and Michigan will never "go red".
