The Republicans really screwed up basing their election on taxes.
Like most people, I can tell you how much it costs to fill my gas tank every week. I know how much my heat costs a month and how much I spend on food.

I'm squeezed by inflation and pinched on my utility bills, but these Republicans thought I would vote for them if the lower my taxes a couple percent. They guessed that dangling a cut in the capital gains tax and eliminating the estate tax would swing my vote over to their side.

I think most people like me are more concerned about the cost of living more than my tax rate. I don't go to the store and empty what's left in my wallet, then imagine lower taxes would fill it back up.

This just shows how disconnected the Republican Party is from Joe The Anybody.

1. The Republican Party is only interested in using Joe The Anybody...
...in order to keep the cash coming to big corps and the wealthiest few.
